The thing that I find really difficult, ESPECIALLY when things get rough...is remaining postive.
I need to work on this, and I think most of us need to work on this...
It's so easy to let the #doubts and the "maybe I should be doing something else" or the "maybe my time is up" and the "I'm not good enough" thoughts creep in... but when difficult times happen, and those thoughts start to creep in, NOW more than EVER is when you need to use positive self talk. Those negative thoughts, #impact you more than you know. We've all heard the story of the three jars of rice, right?!
That simple powerful act of #gratitude had such a positive effect on the rice. The opposite for the other two. That just goes to show the ramifications of the words that we not only choose to use to each other but also to ourselves. It's such a hard thing to keep up the positive self talk, (insert emoji with dark hair and a raised hand here) when you are going through hard times... maybe your bills are late, work is slow, you didn't get that job you had applied for, or you lost your job all together, your car broke down again and you don't have enough money to pay for it, when it seems like nothing is going right in your life, NOW is the time to not give up on yourself!!!!! It's hard, it's almost easier to lump around and feel sorry for yourself! #Believe me. But I'm putting an end to it now.
-Maybe instead, try making a list of everything that you DO have...did you eat today?
-List things that you are good at, and don't leave anything out. Have good handwriting?! Put it down. Are you a good listener? Put it down.
-List all the people in your life that love and care about you...
This blog is as much for others as it is for me, especially this post...I need to be better about positive self talk, it's one of my goals for this year. Don't give up, and don't give in to those negative thoughts, because I won't either!
